Description

Manufactured in the USA, these high-quality sub-miniature pentode tubes are well known for their extremely low noise and low microphonics. The 5840, also known as the EF732, is featured in TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik’s  TF47, AK-47mkII and ELA M 260 microphones. These tubes are also often utilized in Class A/B and Class A Design circuits, offering a balanced and rich tone.

The 5840W / EF732 is a sub-miniature pentode vacuum tube with “flying leads” that require soldering during installation. These tubes do not mate with a socket and a skilled technician is required for the replacement. Customers are encouraged to use only TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik authorized repair facilities when installing this tube into the AK-47mkII or ELA M 260 circuits. Any damaged caused during tube installation by a customer will not be covered under warranty.
