TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik is proud to announce the newly redesigned M80-SH and M81-SH, offering improved performance, reduced weight, and refined aesthetics. The updated models feature a 40% overall weight reduction and a 10% shorter profile for easier placement in tight spaces—ideal for drums and instrument micing.
Both microphones now include the same vibration-dampening technology and sleek finishes found on TELEFUNKEN’s handheld and wireless versions, ensuring consistent performance and appearance across the product line. Updated accessories, premium packaging, and improved ergonomics complete the redesign, reaffirming TELEFUNKEN’s commitment to innovation, durability, and superior sound quality.
The 5-meter SGMC-5R XLR cable with right angle female connector is included with each microphone.
The new system will discontinue inclusion of the M 784 Metal Clamp mount. However, both the M80-SH and M81-SH will ship with the M 785 Plastic Drum Mount for use on a drum rim.
The ZB82 bag that is included with the M80-SH and M81-SH will have updated, decreased dimensions of 8.5” L x 4.5” H. The material is updated to a faux leather with a smooth texture and effective padding for microphone protection.
The packaging has been updated to decrease shelf footprint to a new outer dimension of 9.5” L x 5” W x 2.75” H. The packaging artwork has also been updated for a new marketing aesthetic.
Lastly, both the M80-SH and M81-SH are included in the DD4, DD5, DC6 and DC7 Drum Mic Packs.
