Learn From The Best!

Are you a current student looking for college credit or beginning experience in the audio industry? Look No further! TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik is the place you want to be.

The internship program at TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik focuses on the microphone assembly and  production side of our operation. Interns work alongside our manufacturing team learning the in’s and out’s of our microphones by assisting with testing, quality control, assembly and final packaging.

Experience with soldering is preferable, but we are always happy to teach anyone who is eager to learn!

To ensure that both TELEFUNKEN and the individual get the most out of this experience, interns will be asked to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week to the internship.

Our internship program coincides with the typical school year, with three fourmonth sessions rotating throughout the year We will happily accommodate any school requirements.

Is this a paid internship?
No.

Will interns be working in the recording studio and soundstage?
No. The current internship program is focused exclusively on the manufacturing and technical assembly process of the microphones.

Is the schedule flexible?

Yes. We realize that every applicant is unique and has different obligations to additional work, family, or scholastic commitments.  We will work with you, within reason, to make a schedule that workworks best for you without negatively impacting your experience through the program.

Can I work more than 16 hrs per week?
Although the typical session structure requires 2 days at 8 hours, we may allow interns to come in for additional time if requested on a case-by-case basis.

What hours are available for interns to work?
Interns are scheduled between 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday each week. No evening or weekend work will be permitted.

What type of work can I expect to do as an intern?
Our interns are immediately placed into our Dynamics department, providing aid in prepping subcomponents, final product assembly, quality testing, and final system packaging. We take pride that our program is not comprised of busy work, every task completed is a crucial part for the finished product.

What do you look for in a potential intern?
Technical skills such as soldering, basic understanding of electronics, and troubleshooting are a part of our day-to-day tasks, so experience in these fields is attractive. The Dynamics department relies heavily on teamwork, so above all else, the attitude and work ethic of the candidate are the most essential qualities.

Will I be getting coffee for everyone?
Only if you are already going to get some for yourself. Telefunken’s Intern program directly aids production. You will be working with us to build a quality product for the end user.

Will I be hired after my internship?
Completing the internship does not guarantee you a position at Telefunken. That being said, after you complete your internship, you will be entered into a pool of potential hires. Production exclusively hires from this pool based on your skill, performance during the internship, and position availability.

Do you accept international applications?
At this time we are not accepting international applications for our internship program.

Do you offer any reimbursement/relocation services?
At this time, we do not offer reimbursement or relocation assistance.
