Los Angeles, CA, May 2020 – Fitz and The Tantrums celebrated the graduating Class of 2020 with their lead singer performing on Good Morning America in a nationwide Zoom gathering broadcast from ABC in Times Square. Live from Los Angeles, Fitz rendered a solo acoustic version of the band’s current hit single, “I Just Wanna Shine.”
Before his moving performance, Fitz said, “To the graduating Class of 2020, I know this isn’t how you envisioned it would be, but you guys have all worked so hard to pursue your dreams. In your big, beautiful lives, this moment in history is going to make you guys smarter, stronger, wiser, and the kind of people our country and our world needs to lead us into the future. We’re here to celebrate you guys and all the hard work you’ve done.”
Indie pop and neo-soul band Fitz and the Tantrums released their debut studio album, “Pickin' Up the Pieces” in 2010 to critical acclaim and reached #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
