In the late Summer of 2011, TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik visited Legends Studio in historic Nashville, TN for a presentation and microphone clinic featuring the R-F-T and Dynamic series of the TELEFUNKEN product line. The latest installment of TELEFUNKEN’s Multi-Track Session Files was produced at this famous studio and is now available for download.

Studio owner and Nashville based producer / engineer Dan Frizsell assembled a talented group of musicians called Uncle Dad to track their original tune “Who I Am” utilizing the best of the TELEFUNKEN R-F-T product line, along side some faithful industry standard microphones. This song is retro-acoustic with country overtones by our standards, featuring exclusively acoustic instruments (no electric guitars or amps) and a radio ready arrangement.

Within this multi-track session file you will find professionally tracked signal sources including fiddle tracked with the ELA M 260 and AK-47mkII, a mandolin tracked with the AK-47mkII, banjo cut with the CU-29 and the AK-47mkII, upright bass with the AK-47mkII, and multiple acoustic guitars tracked with the CU-29. In addition, the AR-70 STEREO makes its debut on dobro and drum overheads along side the M80 Dynamic on snare drum. Vocals were cut with the CU-29 and the AK-47mkII, and grand piano was cut using the recently released AK-47mkII Stereo Set.

All the files are clearly labeled in the same format with the source listed first (LEAD VOX, ACOUSTIC, PIANO), followed by the microphone used (C12, AR-51, etc), and then the make and model of pre amplifier (BAE 1073, Manley, Neve, API, etc.).

All audio files are presented in .WAV format and were recorded at 24bit / 44.1KHz sample rate. They can be downloaded and imported into your Digital Audio Workstation of choice by downloading and unzipping from the links below:

The musicians featured on this session include Glen Duncan, an award-winning multi-instrumentalist with an extensive list of accomplishments.
