Warranty Registration and Transfer
TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik is pleased to announce our current warranty package. All warranties on Diamond Series and R-F-T products are now fully transferable between owners for the length specified for each series. The Diamond Series and R-F-T microphones come with a 90 day warranty for the capsule and tube and one year parts and labor for the amplifier, cable and power supply. When you fill out your warranty registration card the warranty will be increased to one year parts and labor for the capsule and tube, and 4 years for the amplifier, cable and power supply.
In the case of a transferred warranty please be sure to include the name of the person from whom you purchased the microphone. We maintain a stolen microphone data base which is based on warranty registration so it is very much in your best interest to make sure you register the microphone you may have purchased second hand.
To register your warranty, please fill out the Warranty Registration and Transfer form. In the case of a transferred warranty, please be sure to include the name and date of where and when the microphone was purchased.
Factory Restoration Services

In the quest to faithfully recreate the classic microphones of yesteryear we have done the requisite R&D [Research and Duplication] to have pretty much any parts you may require.
TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik can also provide service to AKG Acoustic Gmbh C-12 AND C-24 systems, all TELEFUNKEN Gmbh ELA M 250, 250 E, 251, and 251E systems as well other vintage microphone systems such Neumann Gmbh U-47 and U-48.
Services include:
- Complete capsule restoration and or replacement.
- Switch housing restoration and or replacement.
- Internal electronic restoration and or replacement.
- Vacuum Tubes.
- Power supply restoration and or replacement.
- Cable restoration and/or replacement.
- Cosmetic parts.
U-47/48 OWNERS PLEASE NOTE: While we have "plug and play" replacement tubes for the VF-14 [called the VF-14k] they are not available for individual sale. If you have a U-47 or U-48 where the tube failed something caused that failure. If you choose to send in your microphone we will inspect the mic, determine the cause of the tube failure and contact you with a repair estimate. If you choose to have your microphone repaired, only then will we install a VF-14k tube. You can not purchase a VF-14k tube as a "back up spare"; please don't bother asking!!
Vintage Microphone Appraisal Services
Appraisal services are done at TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik by in-house specialists and include full documentation suitable for insurance claims or other legal concerns. Our experts have testified in court cases as 'admitted expert witnesses' though we certainly hope it will not come to that!!
Terms of Service
If your microphone system needs maintenance, contact TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik to discuss your restoration/repair needs.
Should your microphone system need factory service, you will
be assigned an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number.
Write this RMA number on the outside of the box before shipping
unit an authorized service center.
Write a brief note of description of the service to be performed on your microphone system. Please include the return shipping address, contact person, phone number and RMA number on this note and please sign the note. In signing, you are agreeing to a $125 estimate fee. All work performed on your microphone system will be done at an hourly rate of $125 per hour plus parts and shipping.
When shipping your microphone system to us, please make sure to insure your microphone with the shipper of your choice for full replacement value. TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik does not, in any way, accept ANY responsibility for damage done to goods during shipping to and from our authorized services centers; all insurance while the unit is in transit is at the microphone owner’s expense.
