VF-14k Top

The TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik VF14k
TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has gone to great lengths to create a plug and play substitute for the VF-14M tube. Our VF-14k which is utilized in our U-47 and U-48 models is made to directly replace the original VF-14 M in those circuits. It offers comparable sonic performance to the original VF-14M and fits into the original tube socket with no modifications required. THESE TUBES ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR INDIVIDUAL PURCHASE!!! If you have a vintage U-47 or U-48 please see the FACTORY RESTORATION page for details on obtaining one of these tubes

6072a

GE JAN 6072a
TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has acquired the last large stock of vintage NOS (New Old Stock) 6072A General Electric tubes, manufactured to strict military/industrial standards. The 6072A is the premiere tube used in TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik ELA M 250 E, ELA M 251 E, C-12, and R-F-T M-16 mkII in order to faithfully recreate the legendary vintage sound. "After exhaustive searching we were able to purchase several thousand of the 6072A tubes, of which about 10-15% have noise and microphonic levels that are acceptable for our produts" explained Toni Fishman, CEO of TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik.

EL 34 Tube closeup

The TELEFUNKEN EL-34
In the mid-1950's, Phillips introduced the EL-60 as an update to the pre-war EL-12 steel socket tube, originally designed by Telefunken in 1938. Aside from higher plate dissipation, several new features were introduced with this new Pentode. Due to new (new at the time, long ago and far away in the 21st century) European tube standards, the pre-war Philips 9-pin socket (very similar to the American Octal) was changed to the newly introduced American 8-pin octal base. This tube was called the EL-34 -- the tube that would change audio history.
