The R-F-T M216 "X/Y" is a slightly scaled down version of the M216 "M/S-X/Y". This model has become very popular in drum overhead applications, particularly in "touring" circles.
Both the top and bottom capsules are fixed in cardioid while the top housing can swivel to any angle up to 90º. This enables the engineer to employ an "X/Y" technique by aiming the bottom capsule 45º in one direction and the top 45º to the other. Other wider or smaller settings are also available.
Each R-F-T M-216 "X/Y" microphone is supplied with a custom Gotham Audio Cable, wooden mic box, Power Supply, and when registered, a 4-Year fully transferable Limited Warranty.
