Telefunken USA is proud to have received the TEC Award for Studio Microphone Technology at the latest AES convention in San Francisco, for our small diaphragm tube condenser microphone, the Telefunken ELA M 260. This is the fifth time Telefunken USA has been nominated for a TEC Award, and the second time we have been honored to receive the award.
This years AES convention went exceptionally well. Audio engineers from Roy Thomas Baker, Al Schmitt, and Phil Ramone on down admired the Telefunken USA line of historic reissues. Vintage microphone expert Dan Alexander conducted over 250 onsite blindfolded comparisons, between our ELA M 251 and U 47 reissues and vintage originals, and the results were overwhelmingly positive. A listening party co hosted by Telefunken USA and Benchmark Media at Studio Paradiso was a rousing success, attended by over 100 audio professionals.
The upcoming year will see exciting changes in the Telefunken USA business structure and new additions to our product line.

TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik continues to expand, and research and development of new products is an ongoing process. Although based firmly on classic designs, TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik is continuously looking forward.
