Sam Ash Music, serving musicians across the United States since 1924, recently hosted an in-store recording workshop featuring the TELEFUNKEN microphone line. A live basic tracking performance by songwriter Gracie Day was recorded in advance at TELEFUNKEN Studios through an API 1608 console, while vocal and acoustic overdubs were tracked on the show room floor through a Universal Audio Apollo interface.
Vintage King Audio, the leader in professional audio sales, studio consulting, and comprehensive gear servicing teamed up with TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik to make this a very special AES in honor of its return to Los Angeles. Dubbed the Telefunken Microphone Summit, Vintage King and Telefunken recorded a live session with Zane Carney and Friends showcasing a full range of dynamic and condenser models from the microphone titan.
There is no better way to audition a TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik microphone than in the comfort and familiarity of your own personal studio or listening environment. Here is your chance to hear the classic ELA M 251, C12, and U47 microphones, along side the newly designed CU-29, AR-51, AK-47 MkII, ELA M 260, and AR-70 STEREO in use in a multi-track format.
Each Multi-Track Session File includes a detailed description of the recording session, including photos of the microphone placement, as well as the choice of pre amps used for each channel.
All the files are clearly labeled in the same format with the source listed first (LEAD VOX, ACOUSTIC, PIANO), followed by the microphone used (C12, AR-51, etc), and then the make and model of pre amplifier (BAE 1073, Manley, Neve, API, etc.).
All audio files are presented in .WAV format and were recorded at 24bit / 44.1KHz sample rate. They can be downloaded and imported into your Digital Audio Workstation of choice.
Should you have any questions about these sessions, or if you are experiencing technical difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact us at anytime. We also welcome any feedback and suggestions on how we can make this series of presentations.
