New TELEFUNKEN Contest - REMIX THE BREW

Earlier this year as part of TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik's continuing research and development program, the Massachusetts based band "THE BREW" (www.thebrew.biz) were invited to TELEFUNKEN Studios in South Windsor, CT to help Team T-funk road test some new microphone designs.
During this R&D session THE BREW tracked one complete song from start to finish, while the process exclusively employed TELEFUNKEN microphones. Many of the microphones are stock production models; some were prototypes of new ideas in development. Most of the sounds were captured using multiple microphones providing countless tonal mix options.

THE CONTEST:
To create the best possible MIX of the song "What I Want" using the files provided by TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik and THE BREW. You will have two opportunities to win as your mixes will not only be judged by the band, but also by the public "LIKES" on Facebook.

THE MULTI-TRACK AUDIO FILES
These individual multi-track audio files have been prepared for download and are now available. All audio files are presented in .WAV format and were recorded at 24bit / 44.1KHz sample rate. They are clearly labeled in the same format with the source listed first (LEAD VOX, ACOUSTIC, PIANO). Then the microphone used (C12, AR-51, etc), followed by the make and model of pre amplifier (API, GRACE, BAE, etc). Photos of the instruments and their microphone placements have been included for your reference.
The audio files for The Brew's song "What I Want" are grouped into four ZIP files for your convenience; just download, unzip and have at it. The files are all named with instrument and mics used.
HOSTING YOUR MIX ONLINE:
Contestants will be required to host their mixes onto Soundcloud by 11:59PM (23:59) November 10th, 2011, as well email the link to remix@t-funk.com. On November 11th, 2011 TELEFUNKEN will post the submitted mixes via the Facebook group TELEFUNKEN - REMIX THE BREW page. The mix that accumulates the most "Likes" wins Prize #1. The band will choose the winner of Prize #2. Winners will be announced December 2, 2011.
#WINNING (PRIZES):
Two identical prize packs have been assembled for the winners.
Prize #1. - A TELEFUNKEN CU-29 Copperhead large diaphragm tube microphone - will be awarded to the contestant with the most "Likes" on their mix posted on the Facebook group TELEFUNKEN - REMIX THE BREW via online audio host SoundCloud.
Prize #2. - A TELEFUNKEN M80 Dynamic vocal microphone and a complete set of THE BREW's catalog / promotional items (CDs - DVDs along with posters, T-shirts, and whatever else the band finds kicking around the back of the van), PLUS two tickets to a show of your choice - will be chosen directly by the band.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
You are not only the mixer, you are the producer of the mix so there are no rules and no limits to what you can do creatively - though you may not re-track or add any parts.
Each instrument has been recorded with a plethora of TELEFUNKEN microphones, each with a unique and a different sound and tone, allowing for infinite combinations of mix down (or remix) options. You will have the option to choose any / all of the recorded sounds you wish to employ in your mixed version.
You are the producer of the final mix, so please feel free to use all of your talents and skills to try to best capture the emotion of the band and the song in your presentation.
